Belfast Broadcasting & Falkirk Calling

Now, in my previous post I was still enjoying the depths of Southern Ireland, but before I move on to my exploits on the Great Wall of China earlier in August, and my upcoming workshop in Falkirk in October, I just want to share the story of the great 24 hours that Chris Stormer-Fryer and I had in Belfast with the lovely Caroline in July. Ireland, Mermaids, Dolphins and Golf

So here I am sitting at Belfast International Airport, having survived the ridiculous rigours of passing through security and I am now taking refuge in a bar with a table next to a power socket. Needs must you know. And the brandy & ginger ale is well deserved. Sitting opposite me is the lovely Chris Stormer-Fryer (also engrossed in her laptop with accompanying brandy) and we are about to embark on the final leg of her tour, leaving the Emerald Isle behind us and heading for the song of the Welsh Valleys.

It has been an incredible 2 weeks, so I thought I would take this opportunity to just give you an insight to our journey so far.

Starting out in Dublin, under the brilliant shining sun, we stayed with the lovely Lua and shared seminars in the south and then north of the city. Special days, special souls and even more special soles were revealed. Making the most of the beautiful weather, Chris and I would start the day off by walking the 2 minutes down to the sea and perch atop the rocks as the sun rose at dawn and sit in silence to absorb the magic of nature.

Then in the evenings we would return to the coast of Dun Laoghaire and watch the sun set with a wee Irish coffee in hand. One evening was particularly spectacular and as we all sat in a row on the harbour wall, looking at the setting sun, we marvelled in the green orbs dancing around us, and yet our eyes weren’t the slightest bit strained by the brilliance of the setting sun. The angels were with us.

From Dublin we headed down to the town of Tralee in County Kerry and shared another wonder-full day of Universal Healing through the Feet. From Tralee we had a day to drive and discover the stark beauty of Dingle, but by now the brilliant sunshine had turned to heavy rain. It definitely wasn’t a day to go out in the boat to connect with Funghi the local dolphin. Later in that afternoon we drove up to Ballybunion, our chosen home for the next couple of nights. An appropriate place for reflexologists!

This was our chance to rest and revitalize and it was also John’s (Chris’s husband) chance to enjoy the famous Ballybunion golf course. So on our first free morning with the sun making a miraculous return, Chris and I decided to explore the cliff walk on the way towards town. The coast was majestic and spectacular with the sea a turquoise green as it roared up against the cliffs.

There were caves worn into the base of the rock and we were both mesmerized by the rhythm and powerful energy of the ocean. And as we walked closer to the edge of the cliffs, the energy changed and I was aware of a peaceful, all loving and yet all knowing energy enter my body.

It was only when I saw the information board further along the narrow footpath that I realized what I was feeling. The local dolphins had come to say hello! And so we both fully opened our hearts and silently called to them. It wasn’t long before we saw them. Their dark fins defined against the swell as they surfaced and dove, surfaced and dove and occasionally playfully frolicked and splashed their tails on the water. Time stood still as we energetically connected with them. They finally urged us to make our way further along the cliffs and seemed to move along with us as we followed the cliff walk towards the town. It was a truly magical morning.

Our next morning was completely different... under a slightly greyer sky, we headed for the hot seaweed baths situated at the base of the cliffs on Ballybunion’s Ladies Beach. An inconspicuous building, run by generations of the Collins family and holding just a few private rooms with traditional deep, roll top baths. And sitting in buckets were freshly picked bunches of local seaweed ready to be activated by the hot water into releasing their iodine and natural oils. I have to admit that I was slightly concerned. It looked rather slimy and uninviting. But once I immersed myself in the water, I made friends with the seaweed and pretended to be a mermaid.

The seaweed exuded a beautiful oil which made for a sensation, possibly much like sitting in warm runny jelly. It was wonderful to rub the green fronds onto my skin and putting my head under water was an incredible experience as my hair became a floating mass of gloop. Chris and I loved it and every so often we would hear each other’s “oohs & aahs” accompanied by watery splashes of contentment. And I had great fun trying to take a couple of photos of myself as a mermaid! The half hour passed surprisingly quickly and when it came to it, I was actually rather reluctant to leave my warm new home.

So from Ballybunion we drove up the stunning west coast of Ireland, except that the allegedly stunning scenery was ensconced in low clouds, and we never did get to see the Cliffs of Moher, or much past the green of the kerb come to think of it! Our next stop was to be based with the lovely Anne Dolan and Sinaed Murphy as Chris shared seminars in Gort and Athlone. Magical days and evenings full of laughter, angelic presences, the picturesque fishing village of Kinvara, beautiful sole connections and Universal serendipity... which I will tell you all about next time.

But for now, why not check in with Edna Spennato as she is sharing some incredible information coming through with the crop circles.

Have a magical week everyone! Sally x
