All of a sudden, the pace of life, which has been pretty much non-stop over the last six months, suddenly drops down a gear or three.  It’s as if you’ve become becalmed after a long and challenging journey.  So if you feel that the universe is telling you to slow down, why not listen to it?  Otherwise you may arouse unnecessary opposition.  Far better to step back for a month, rest your weary mind and body, and slip gently below the radar screen to recharge your batteries.  By doing this you can stabilise and steady yourself, catch up with things that have needed doing and deal with the pending tray of life.  The alternative is pushing and wading through treacle, so slow down.

The fastest time of the year now seems to be behind you, you can begin to relax and let your shoulders come down from your ears.  As July unfolds, so you’ll see a steadily decrease in the levels of stress and tension that has been so strong over recent months.  By the 11th of this month you’ll have all the information that you need to start making long term decisions.  Decisions, not actions.  The time for action has yet to come, but what you can do now is begin to work out what it is that you don’t want.  Now you’ve got all the facts at your fingertips you can begin the analysis knowing that the facts don’t lie and that out of them will come clarity and new directions, but for now think, don’t act.

Feeling a bit spiky are we?  Feeling as though the steamroller of life has just rolled over you without so much as an acknowledgement?  You should find that as this month develops so your social life and popularity levels begin to pick up again, July is a month to look to the future instead of dwelling on the past.  Endings are always followed by new beginnings, and the ongoing conclusions around you now are sorting the wheat from the chaff.  This is a time of weeding and pruning and letting go of redundant energies.

A combination of the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Cancer over the whole of this month makes for an interesting time, lots of little developments at the day by day level with a general all round feeling of being supported and nurtured.  A little indulgence hurts nobody, as long as you know when and where to draw the line.  It’s easier to live within self imposed limits rather than those imposed upon you by others, and issues of boundaries seem to be quite relevant at this time.  You can state your case quietly and clearly, being projective and assertive without being confrontational, and make others clear as to where your boundaries lie.  A rapid and buzzy month, but not too fast.

With Venus in your sign until the 13th you are likely to find that the start of the month brings better quality interactions with others that that to which you’ve been previously used.  You can attract a better quality of attention now by emphasising your more sensual side, fluttering your eyelashes and only eating the best of chocolate.  You can get what you want at the start of July; just make sure that you want it for the right reasons.  As the month unfolds, the foot doesn’t go onto the brake but it does come off the accelerator.

A month of change that steadily becomes mellower.  The hectic and charged energy of the last two months is drawing to a close – by the third week of July the wounds are sealed, so the healing process can begin.  The second half of the month brings a soothing and calm energy into your life and heralds the beginning of a more laid back and chilled time, but don’t get complacent, because as Venus moves into Leo around the 11th so the risk of gluttony or over-indulgence arises again, with the most likely victim being the waistline.  There’s no rush, put yourself back together again, but don’t get too laid back.  You start July with Mars and end with Venus – can’t be bad.

Sudden acceleration, big shift forward in the gears, Mars is in town – all month. Expect your physical drive to increase, with sudden surges of enthusiasm and energy. The month starts in a frustrating way; other people’s emotional states can impact upon you if you don’t maintain boundaries.  But as July evolves, so the confusion dissipates and a warmer buzz envelops your life.  By the second half of the month, your love life is looking good, although this is more in a romantic way as opposed to relationship.  Romance is day by day, relationship is year by year.  But in the background, it’s a month for gathering your energies about you and recharging your batteries.  By mid August, you’ll be needing all the physical energy you can muster, so concentrate now not on dramatically moving forward, but in preparing yourself for times to come.

It’s either all talk and no action or else it’s that ‘I dare you to suss me out’ look.  In either case, there’s going to be a frustration and impatience with other people’s apparent role playing, and the more you snap or let your buttons get pushed the more you buy into the game playing.  Maintain your distance from the superficialities of life at the moment, your time is coming soon, by August you’re going to be a lot more proactive.  But in the short term, bide your time and keep a dignified and detached head on your shoulders.

The first half of the month brings a higher potential than usual for argumentativeness and challenge in areas concerning all systems of authority, whether employer, teacher, state or parent.  Respect has to be earned not demanded, and you’re better off learning by direct experience now than you are from books or teachers.  But don’t bite!  You could easily buy into other people’s game plans now and become a pawn in someone else’s game by letting your buttons get pushed.  By the 14th this short term period of challenge ends and situations around you mellow to the point of comfort, where the biggest challenge will be to avoid complacency.  July starts fast and ends slow.

Capricorn

 
The first two weeks of July bring a number of opportunities for creative development through hard work, so don’t shirk from challenges.  By plugging away you can put in place situations that bring a great deal more solidity and structure into what so far has only been a pipedream.  Chances taken at the start of the month should blossom as the second two weeks of July unfold, and for once it seems that your fate is in your own hands.  Hard work brings its own rewards, and now is a productive and creative time.  And if you don’t take the opportunities around you now, you lose nothing.  But if you do take them, you gain lots.  Capricorn full Moon on the 18th is the turn around point.

During the last couple of months your subtlety and tact have been severely tested, to the point of explosion.  Now, it seems that the boils have been lanced and the urgency and action of recent times is suddenly switched down a gear or three.  You’ll find that from about the 12th onwards there’s a gentle and soothing energy becoming apparent, one that blossoms and grows as the month evolves.  Romance beckons – the chance to feel wanted, more valued by other, and to be treasured.  By the end of the month you’re serious ‘babe’ material, with your social life and your diary both fuller than you’ve been used to of late.  Grab the opportunities whilst they’re there.

Some of you – mainly those born in February – are having a difficult time now, whilst others are finding this a time of refreshing new challenge and big opportunity.  But none of you are quiet.  This is a month of decision and developments.  Sometimes actions speak louder than words, and now is such a time, it’s no longer possible to sit on the fence.  Are you the puppet or are you the puppeteer?  Whose strings do you dance to?  If you don’t act now, then there’s a strong chance that soon you’ll have to react, the ball will be out of your court.  Cut a few losses now, concentrate on those things at are actively supporting you, and pop a few of the hot air balloons.
